About Organic Wholesale Guayusa

Ecuador, officially the Republic of Ecuador (Spanish: República del Ecuador, which literally translates as "Republic of the Equator") is a representative democratic republic in South America, bordered by Colombia on the north, Peru on the east and south, and the Pacific Ocean to the west. Ecuador also includes the Galápagos Islands in the Pacific, about 1,000 kilometres (620 mi) west of the mainland.

Mendo Maté® sources organic guayusa, berries and other raw bulk organic ingredients in Ecuador through our Mendo Maté EarthSEARCH® service.

Curing & Packaging Yerba Maté

There are 2 major techniques of curing yerba maté in the world.

The first and most commonly commercially processed method is fire dried:

Yerba Maté Plant Cultivation (Wild, Bio-Dynamic, Organic & Chemical Based)

Yerba maté grows in South America wild and is widely cultivated throughout central South America.

Wild Yerba Maté: The wild yerba maté plant is a species of holly in the aquifoliaceae family native to subtropical South America namely Northern Argentina, Southern Paraguay, Western Uruguay and Southern Brazil.

Bio-Dynamic farming yerba maté: At this time we do not know of any bio-dynamic farms growing yerba maté.

Cultivating conventional yerba maté:  Most of the global production of yerba maté is grown by using fossil fuel based fertilizers.

Welcome to Mendo Maté's EarthSEARCH Department. Whether you are in the food service industry, or a small coffee and tea house, we can help develop a small or large production line for your boutique niche. Because Mendo Maté has been a small company in the coffee and tea industry we know the challenges you face getting started. What you serve is what you are. One challenge is sourcing products for some small companies; while others face a small quota for the products they need. We challenge this through working with our vendors and pulling from our wholesale bulk stock of organic coffee and tea products. Our minimums are very small and we only source quality products around the world. So if you are looking to create a new product or just purchase raw products we can help.
